The Alexa Fluor™ 700 dye conjugate provides an excellent spectral match to common long-wavelength excitation sources, offering a high extinction coefficient and bright, stable fluorescence.


Target Information

The CD3 subunit complex is crucial for transducing antigen-recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and regulating the cell surface expression of the TCR complex.
T cell activation through the TCR involves CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits, which are structurally related immunoglobulin superfamily members encoded on chromosome 11.
These subunits associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules through double tyrosine-based motifs.
CD3 is expressed on 68–82% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes and 65–85% of thymocytes, but not on B or NK cells.
Decreased T lymphocyte percentages may be observed in autoimmune diseases.
Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
