Target Information
PCDHA1 유전자는 protocadherin alpha gene cluster의 구성원으로, 염색체 5번에 위치하며 B세포 및 T세포 수용체 유전자 클러스터와 유사한 독특한 유전체 구조를 갖습니다.
이 α 클러스터는 15개의 cadherin superfamily 유전자로 구성되어 있으며, 13개는 매우 유사하고 2개는 상대적으로 다른 코딩 서열을 포함합니다.
각 N-말단 variable exon은 6개의 cadherin ectodomain을 암호화하고, 공통적인 C-말단 constant exon은 세포질 도메인을 암호화합니다.
이 단백질들은 신경계에서 세포 간 연결의 형성과 기능 유지에 중요한 역할을 하는 신경 cadherin-유사 세포 접착 단백질입니다.
대체 스플라이싱이 관찰되었으며, 추가 변이체가 제안되었으나 완전 길이는 아직 확인되지 않았습니다.
