Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
A platelet-derived endothelial growth factor (PD-ECGF), also known as thymidine phosphorylase (TP) or gliostatin.
In the presence of inorganic orthophosphate, it catalyzes the reversible phosphorolytic cleavage of thymidine and deoxyuridine to their corresponding bases and 2-deoxyribose-1-phosphate.
It is chemotactic and mitogenic for endothelial cells and acts as a non-heparin-binding angiogenic factor present in platelets.
Additionally, it participates in the transformation of fluoropyrimidines, cytotoxic agents used in cancer treatment, into active cytotoxic metabolites.
