Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human TGM2, TGM4, and TGM7 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Transglutaminases are enzymes that catalyze the crosslinking of proteins by epsilon-gamma glutamyl lysine isopeptide bonds. Although their primary structures vary, all share identical active site sequences and are calcium-dependent. The TGM3 protein is activated by proteolysis into two polypeptide chains and plays a key role in the later stages of cell envelope formation in the epidermis and hair follicle.
