Target Information
This gene encodes a tissue-restricted nuclear transcriptional activator preferentially expressed in lymphoid tissue. The LAF4/MLLT2 gene family defines nuclear transcription factors potentially involved in lymphoid development and oncogenesis. In some acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients, this gene is fused to the MLL gene. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different proteins have been identified.
