Target Information
Anti-human Polynucleotide Kinase (PNK) Monoclonal Antibody recognizes polynucleotide kinase (PNK), a 57 kDa nuclear enzyme involved in DNA strand repair during replication, recombination, or in response to DNA damage.
PNK acts on DNA 5′-hydroxy and 3′-phosphate termini for phosphorylation and dephosphorylation, and associates with nuclear proteins to prepare DNA ends for polymerase-beta and ligase III actions.
It plays a key role in maintaining genetic stability in human cells.
