Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Steroid receptors are ligand-dependent intracellular proteins that stimulate transcription of specific genes by binding to DNA sequences upon hormone activation.
Before activation, steroid receptors associate with proteins such as HSP70, HSP90, and immunophilins (FKBP52, FKBP54, CyP-40), as well as p23, p60, and p48.
p23 forms part of a transient intermediate complex with HSP70, HSP90, and progesterone receptor (PR).
Human p23 is a 160-amino-acid phosphoprotein, highly conserved among species, and contains multiple phosphorylation sites.
It binds to HSP90 and is essential for HSP90–CyP-40 interaction with PR, playing a key role in PR function.
