Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the TRIM protein family. It contains multiple zinc finger motifs and a leucine zipper motif, and may form homo- or heterodimers involved in nucleic acid binding. It is proposed to act as a transcriptional regulatory factor involved in carcinogenesis and/or differentiation. It may also play a role in the suppression of radiosensitivity, being associated with the ataxia telangiectasia phenotype.
