Target Information
TRP1 is thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium-permeant cation channel. It is likely operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors.
Also activated by intracellular calcium store depletion.
Interacts with ITPR3 and appears to be ubiquitous.
