Target Information
RAD23B는 효모 Rad23의 인간 상동체 중 하나로, 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구(NER)에 관여하는 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 xeroderma pigmentosum group C (XP-C) 세포 추출물의 NER 결함을 보완하는 복합체의 구성 요소로 작용합니다. 또한 3-methyladenine-DNA glycosylase (MPG)와 상호작용하여 염기 절제 복구에서 DNA 손상 인식에 관여합니다. N-말단 유비퀴틴 유사 도메인을 포함하며, 26S 프로테아좀과 결합하여 유비퀴틴 매개 단백질 분해 경로에 참여할 수 있습니다.
