CCR4-NOT Transcription Complex 2 (CNOT2)는 CCR4-NOT 복합체의 구성 요소로, 주요 세포 내 mRNA deadenylase 중 하나입니다. 이 복합체는 mRNA 분해, miRNA 매개 억제, 번역 개시 시의 억제 및 전사 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정과 관련되어 있습니다.
CNOT2는 CCR4-NOT 복합체의 구조적 안정성 유지에 필요하며, 전사를 억제할 수 있고 N-Cor 억제 복합체(HDAC3, NCOR1, NCOR2 포함)와의 연관을 통해 전사 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. 또한 배아줄기세포(ES cell)의 정체성 유지에도 중요한 역할을 합니다.
