Target Information
The ENOX2 gene encodes a tumor-specific member of the ECTO-NOX family of cell surface NADH oxidases.
The encoded protein exhibits two enzymatic activities:
- Catalysis of hydroquinone or NADH oxidation
- Protein disulfide interchange
Additionally, the protein displays prion-like properties.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
