Rat anti-Mouse JAM-C antibody, clone CRAM-18 F26 recognizes mouse and human Junctional Adhesion Molecule C (JAM-C), also known as JAM-3 or historically as JAM-2.
Target Information
JAM3 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily involved in tight junction formation, contributing to cell-to-cell adhesion in epithelial and endothelial sheets. It forms continuous seals around cells to prevent solute and water passage through paracellular spaces. Unlike other family members, JAM3 exhibits weak homotypic interactions and does not adhere to leukocyte cell lines. It functions as a receptor for other junctional adhesion molecules.
