Target Information
Cerebellin (CER)은 쥐 소뇌에서 처음 분리된 헥사데카펩타이드로, Cerebellin 1 (Cbln1)이라는 전구체 단백질에서 유래합니다. Cerebellin 1, 2, 3, 4는 C1q 단백질 패밀리 내의 precerebellin 서브패밀리를 구성합니다. 이들은 다양한 뇌 영역에서 시냅스 발달과 가소성의 신경 간 조절자로 작용합니다. 또한 Cerebellin과 그 대사체 des-Ser(1)Cer은 부신 등 소뇌 외 조직에서도 발현됩니다. Cerebellin 1, 2, 3은 상호작용을 통해 분해 및 분비를 조절하며, Cerebellin 3은 단독으로는 분비되지 않고 Cerebellin 1과의 복합체 형성 시에만 분비됩니다. OPCA 및 Shy-Drager 증후군 환자의 뇌에서 Cerebellin 농도가 감소되어 있는 것으로 보고되어, 이 단백질이 해당 질환의 병리학적 과정에 관여할 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
