Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, characterized by periodic changes in protein abundance during the cell cycle. Cyclins act as regulators of CDK kinases, with distinct expression and degradation patterns that coordinate mitotic events. This cyclin is most similar to cyclin G and is expressed consistently throughout cell cycle progression. Its precise function has not yet been determined.
