Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, characterized by periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins regulate CDK kinases, and distinct cyclins exhibit specific expression and degradation patterns that coordinate mitotic events. This cyclin is most similar to cyclin G and is expressed consistently during cell cycle progression. The exact function of this cyclin has not yet been determined.
