Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve ~1 mg/mL concentration.
- For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Calcitonin is a 32 amino acid peptide expressed in C cells of the thyroid.
It is used to identify C cell proliferative abnormalities, from hyperplasia to invasive tumors.
In medullary thyroid carcinoma, calcitonin staining shows a fine granular cytoplasmic pattern, and amyloid deposits may exhibit calcitonin activity.
