Target Information
Rho-related GTP-binding protein (RhoB) mediates apoptosis in neoplastically transformed cells after DNA damage. It affects cell adhesion and growth factor signaling in transformed cells, targets PKN1 to endosomes, and is involved in EGF receptor trafficking from late endosomes to lysosomes. RhoB is also required for stability and nuclear trafficking of AKT1/AKT, promoting endothelial cell survival during vascular development. Functions as a tumor suppressor—deletion of RhoB leads to tumor formation.
