Hsp27은 다양한 자극(예: 종양 촉진제, 칼슘 이오노포어)에 의해 빠르게 인산화되며, 유방암 세포 등에서 에스트로겐 유도 단백질과 관련된 종양 발현과의 연관성이 보고되었습니다.
또한 Hsp27의 발현 수준은 자궁내막선암 등 특정 암종과 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
