The Applied Biosystems Axiom Bovine Genotyping v3 Array contains more than 63,000 markers designed for genomic selection, trait analysis, and parentage verification in cattle.
SNPs were selected based on their position in the bovine genome to ensure even spacing, including:

• VIP trait-associated SNPs (publicly available)
• ISAG core parentage markers
• 44,000 markers from the Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding (CDCB)
• SNPs optimized for STR imputation (1)

This array is also available in mini-96 format.
