For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The PVRL1 gene encodes an adhesion protein involved in the organization of adherens and tight junctions in epithelial and endothelial cells.
This calcium-independent cell adhesion molecule belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and contains:

• Three extracellular immunoglobulin-like loops
• A single transmembrane domain
• A cytoplasmic region

PVRL1 acts as a receptor for glycoprotein D of herpes simplex viruses (HSV-1, HSV-2) and pseudorabies virus, mediating viral entry into epithelial and neuronal cells.
Mutations in this gene are associated with cleft lip and palate/ectodermal dysplasia 1 syndrome and non-syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding proteins with distinct C-termini.
