Target Information
ARP2 (actin-related protein 2) is an ATP-binding component of the ARP2/3 complex, a multiprotein complex mediating actin polymerization upon stimulation by nucleation-promoting factors (NPFs).
The ARP2/3 complex facilitates the formation of branched actin networks in the cytoplasm, driving cell motility.
It also promotes nuclear actin polymerization, thereby regulating gene transcription and DNA repair.
