Target Information
Biglycan (BGN) is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan structurally related to decorin and fibromodulin. It likely contains two glycosaminoglycan chains and plays a role in connective tissue metabolism by binding collagen fibrils and transferring growth factor-beta. It may also promote neuronal survival.
