KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2)는 type III receptor tyrosine kinase로, 혈관내피세포 성장인자(VEGF)에 높은 친화도로 결합합니다. 발생 초기 내피세포 전구세포에 의해 발현되며, VEGF 수용체 중 하나로 kinase insert domain receptor로도 알려져 있습니다. 이 수용체의 신호전달 및 이동은 Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase 등에 의해 조절됩니다. FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2)의 변이는 유아 모세혈관 혈관종과 관련이 있습니다.
