Target Information
Methionine-tRNA ligase (EC 6.1.1.10) catalyzes the reaction:
ATP + L-methionine + tRNA(Met) ↔ AMP + diphosphate + L-methionyl-tRNA(Met).
This enzyme is involved in methionine metabolism, selenoamino acid metabolism, and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis.
