Target Information
DPP6 encodes a single-pass type II membrane protein that belongs to the S9B family in clan SC of the serine proteases.
Although this protein lacks protease activity due to the absence of the conserved serine residue in the catalytic domain, it binds specific voltage-gated potassium channels and modulates their expression and biophysical properties.
Alternative transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized.
