Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Zika virus (ZIKV) (strain Zika SPH2015) ZIKV-NS1.

Target Information

Zika virus (ZIKV), a member of the Flaviviridae family, has a single positive-sense RNA genome initially translated as a polyprotein, which is cleaved into three structural proteins (C, PrM/M, E) and seven nonstructural proteins (NS1, NS2A, NS2B, NS3, NS4A, NS4B, NS5).
The glycosylated NS1 forms a homodimer inside cells and is required for viral replication. Later in infection, NS1 is secreted as a hexameric lipoprotein particle that assists immune evasion and pathogenesis by interacting with host immune components.
