Target Information
이 유전자는 G 단백질 결합 수용체 APJ의 내인성 리간드로 작용하는 펩타이드를 암호화합니다. 생성된 단백질은 프리프로펩타이드 형태로 합성되어 생물학적으로 활성화된 C-말단 절편으로 처리됩니다. 이러한 펩타이드 절편은 다양한 조직 특이적 신호 경로를 활성화하여 체액 항상성, 심혈관 기능, 인슐린 분비 등의 생리 기능을 조절합니다. 또한 이 단백질은 인간 면역결핍 바이러스 1의 공동 수용체로도 작용합니다.
