Detection kits for Mycoplasma DNA
Available in TaqMan format for analysis

Mycoplasma is a common and serious contaminant of cell cultures. It is often not visible and does not respond to antibiotics, making early detection essential. Up to 30% of cell cultures may be contaminated with Mycoplasmas, mainly M. orale, M. laidlawii, M. arginini, and M. hyorhinis. These organisms affect cell metabolism, growth, viability, and morphology, altering phenotypic characteristics. Routine testing for Mycoplasma contamination is therefore required, especially for continuous or established cell lines.

Store at -20°C upon arrival.
Avoid repeated thawing/freezing (>2×) of Master Mix and Positive Control.
