Target Information
Caspase 6 is an enzyme encoded by the CASP6 gene in humans. It belongs to the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family and is localized to human chromosome 4q25–q26. Caspase 6 functions as a downstream enzyme in the caspase activation cascade and can cleave lamin A to its characteristic apoptotic fragment.
