Target Information
PIM2는 BAD 단백질을 인산화하여 그 항세포사멸 기능을 부분적으로 억제하는 프로토온코진입니다. PIM 단백질(PIM-1, PIM-2, PIM-3)은 온코진으로 암호화된 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, PIM-2는 PIM-1과 높은 상동성을 가지며 유사한 종양유발 기능을 수행합니다.
PIM-2는 조혈 조직, 비장, 흉선, 말초혈액 백혈구, 고환, 소장 및 결장에서 풍부하게 발현되며, 성장 인자 결핍에 의해 발현이 음성 조절됩니다. 또한 일부 암에서 PIM-2 발현이 증가된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
