Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SIRT5 is a human member of the Sirtuin (Sir2-like) protein family found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
All Sir2-like proteins contain a conserved sirtuin core domain with sequence motifs shared across species.
These proteins metabolize NAD and may function as mono-ADP-ribosyltransferases.
While the enzymatic mechanism is not fully understood, studies suggest a potential link between NAD metabolism and histone deacetylation, indicating a coupled activation mechanism involving Sir2, NAD, and acetylated histones.
