Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PRKY (protein kinase, Y-linked) belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and is part of the cAMP-dependent kinase subfamily.
It is encoded by a gene located near the pseudoautosomal region on chromosome Y and contains one protein kinase domain that catalyzes ATP-dependent phosphorylation of target proteins.
PRKY functions similarly to PRKX (protein kinase, X-linked), which plays roles in macrophage differentiation and renal epithelial cell migration.
Mutations in PRKY and PRKX are associated with sex reversal disorders (XX males and XY females).
