The DPP10 protein shares structural features with S9B family DPP serine proteases, including DPP4, which plays a central role in chemokine processing within the innate immune system.
The gene locus exhibits complex transcript splicing, with eight alternate first exons, four of which localize within the LD block strongly associated with asthma.
