Target Information
Vimentin은 중간엽 기원의 세포에서 발현되는 발달 조절성 중간 필라멘트 단백질(IFP)입니다. 이 단백질은 핵과 세포막 사이의 단백질 수송에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
다른 IFP 단백질과 달리, vimentin은 세포 발달 초기 단계에서 desmin과 함께 발현되며, 이후 조직 특이적 IFP로 대체됩니다.
또한 vimentin은 스테로이드 합성 속도 조절에 관여하며, 콜레스테롤 함유 지질 방울의 저장 네트워크 역할을 합니다.
Vimentin의 인산화는 중간 필라멘트의 붕괴를 유도하고, ATP 및 myosin light chain 의존적 수축을 활성화하여 세포골격 변화를 일으킵니다. 이는 미토콘드리아 내 지질 방울과의 상호작용을 촉진하고, 콜레스테롤의 수송을 증가시켜 스테로이드 합성을 활성화합니다.
