Target Information
This gene encodes a coactivator of the androgen receptor, a transcription factor activated by androgen that plays a key role in male sexual differentiation. The encoded protein may regulate androgen receptor activity and could be relevant to prostate cancer research. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
