Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화 및 세포사멸과 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열의 단백질군입니다. 포유류 Prx는 아미노산 서열 상동성 및 활성 부위의 시스테인 잔기를 기준으로 6가지 멤버로 구성되며, 2-Cys Prx(typical/atypical)와 1-Cys Prx로 구분됩니다. 대부분의 2-Cys Prx는 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용하는 thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase(TPx) 활성을 가집니다. Prx 단백질은 분자량 20–30 kDa이며, Prx I, II, VI는 세포질, Prx III는 미토콘드리아, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비계, Prx V는 퍼옥시좀, 미토콘드리아, 세포질 등 다양한 위치에 존재합니다.
