Target Information
MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
MUC1은 막관통형 글리코프로틴으로, 여러 중간 형태를 거쳐 성숙하며, 다수의 O-결합 당쇄가 첨가 및 처리되어 높은 시알산화를 보입니다.
MUC1은 고다형성이며, 각 대립유전자는 반복 수(30~90)의 차이로 인해 단백질 분자량이 다양합니다.
대부분의 분비 상피조직(유선 포함)과 90% 이상의 유방암 및 전이에 풍부하게 발현됩니다.
MUC1은 모든 cebB 수용체와 결합하며, lactating gland에서 erbB1(EGFR)과 공위치하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 가지며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형체를 생성합니다.
MUC1 단백질의 과발현, 비정상적 세포내 위치, 당화 변화는 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
