Target Information
ZPBP (also known as ZPBP1) is a spermatid and spermatozoon protein that localizes to the acrosome and binds to the oocyte zona pellucida. It may be involved in gamete interaction during fertilization. Absence of ZPBP1 has been reported to cause acrosome fragmentation and male sterility in mice.
