• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
  Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
• This antibody shows a broad species reactivity.

Target Information

Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by remarkable biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and have an isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8.
The expression patterns of cytokeratin subtypes are characteristic of epithelial type and differentiation stage, making them valuable markers in distinguishing epithelial malignancies.
Cytokeratin antibodies are useful in tumor differential diagnosis via immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
The composition of cytokeratin pairs varies with epithelial cell type, differentiation stage, growth environment, and disease state.
