Product Specific Information

The 104 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD45 molecule (leukocyte common antigen, LCA) in CD45.2-expressing strains such as C57BL/6, BALB/c, DBA, C3H/He, CBA, 129, A, and AKR. CD45.2 is expressed by all leukocytes in these strains.

  • Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
  • Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes, ≤ 1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume)
    • Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test
    • Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 661 (BUV661) emits at 660 nm and is optimized for cytometers equipped with a UV (355 nm) laser.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information

CD45.2 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising ~10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It regulates Src-family kinases, lymphocyte development, and antigen signaling. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains and membrane localization. CD45.2 also modulates integrin-mediated signaling and is involved in apoptosis-related DNA fragmentation. CD45RA is an isoform with restricted lymphoid subtype expression.
