Antibody detects endogenous levels of total EPOR.
Target Information
EpoR encodes the erythropoietin receptor, a member of the cytokine receptor family. When erythropoietin binds to this receptor, it activates Jak2 tyrosine kinase and downstream pathways such as Ras/MAP kinase, PI3K, and STAT transcription factors. The activated receptor supports erythroid cell survival.
Defects in this gene may lead to erythroleukemia or familial erythrocytosis. Dysregulation may also influence tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternative splicing.
Diseases associated with EPOR include Erythrocytosis, Familial, 1 and Erythroleukemia.
