Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as verified by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Phospholipid scramblase 1 (PLSCR1) is a calcium-dependent plasma membrane protein involved in the transbilayer movement of phosphatidylserine and other phospholipids upon calcium influx. This process contributes to membrane remodeling and phosphatidylserine exposure in apoptotic cells. PLSCR1 expression is induced by interferons and cytokines, suggesting a role in cytokine signaling pathways. EGF stimulation leads to tyrosine phosphorylation of PLSCR1 (Tyr69, Tyr74), enabling interaction with Shc and linking Src kinase activation to EGF receptor signaling.
