Target Information

ROR2 (receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 2) is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the ROR subfamily of cell surface receptors.
It plays a role in early chondrocyte formation, cartilage development, and growth plate formation.
Expression is high during early embryonic development but decreases significantly by day 16, with very low levels in adult tissues.

Mutations in ROR2 are associated with:

• Brachydactyly type B1 (BDB1): autosomal dominant skeletal disorder with hypoplasia/aplasia of distal phalanges and nails.
• Robinow syndrome (RRS): autosomal recessive disorder characterized by skeletal dysplasia, limb bone shortening, spinal defects, brachydactyly, and facial dysmorphism.

The protein contains:

• 1 frizzled (FZ) domain
• 1 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domain
• 1 kringle domain
