Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family. PD-L1 binds to its receptor PD-1, which negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Upon PD-L1 and PD-1 interaction, TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production decrease. PD-L1 expression is abundant in various murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-gamma stimulation. PD-L1 may play a key role in tumor immune evasion.
