Target Information
TSEN2는 tRNA-splicing endonuclease complex의 두 가지 촉매 소단위 중 하나를 구성하며, pre-tRNA의 스플라이스 부위를 인식하고 절단하는 역할을 수행합니다. 이 효소 복합체는 pre-tRNA를 절단하여 인트론과 두 개의 tRNA 절반 분자를 생성하며, 각각은 2’,3’-cyclic phosphate 및 5’-OH 말단을 가집니다.
스플라이스 부위에는 보존된 서열이 없지만, 인트론은 항상 동일한 위치에 존재하여 일정한 거리에서 절단이 이루어집니다. Isoform 1은 5’-splice site 절단의 활성 부위를 가지며, Isoform 2는 알려지지 않은 RNA 기질을 처리합니다. 또한 이 복합체는 pre-mRNA 3’-end processing factor와의 결합을 통해 RNA 가공 과정 전반에 관여합니다.
