Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The MTHFD2 gene encodes a nuclear-encoded mitochondrial bifunctional enzyme with methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase and methenyltetrahydrofolate cyclohydrolase activities. The enzyme functions as a homodimer and requires magnesium and inorganic phosphate for activity. Formation of the enzyme–magnesium complex enables NAD binding. Alternative splicing produces two transcripts, one protein-coding and one non-coding. A pseudogene is located on chromosome 7.
