Target Information

IL-22 receptor (IL-22R, also termed CRF2-9 or IL-TIF-R1 chain) is a member of the class II cytokine receptor family. It forms a complex with IL-10 receptor beta chain to mediate IL-22 signaling via the JAK-STAT pathway. IL22R is expressed in normal liver and kidney tissues and in cell lines such as HepG2 and TK-10.
A soluble form of IL-22 receptor, known as IL-22 binding protein (IL-22BP or IL-22RA2), inhibits IL-22 binding to the functional receptor complex and neutralizes IL-22 activity. LPS-induced IL-22 expression suggests its role in inflammatory responses.
