Target Information
Transcriptional coactivator involved in neuroepithelial stem cell differentiation and neurogenesis. Plays a role in lens epithelial cell gene regulation and stress responses, and may contribute to lens epithelial to fiber cell terminal differentiation. May protect against stress-induced apoptosis. Isoform 2 functions as a general and stronger transcriptional coactivator and may act as an adapter coordinating pre-mRNA splicing. Serves as a cellular cofactor for lentiviral integration.
