Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody shows specificity for Human PARK7/DJ-1.
Target Information
The PARK7/DJ-1 gene encodes a protein belonging to the peptidase C56 family. It acts as a positive regulator of androgen receptor-dependent transcription and may function as a redox-sensitive chaperone and oxidative stress sensor. It protects neurons against oxidative stress and cell death.
Defects in this gene cause autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson disease 7. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
